Ce’Cile: The lady can sing. And she can DJ. And she’s not afraid to shock anyone. She’s a good songwriter, and her hooks embed themselves in your subconscious. She could be large.

However, despite her undeniable gifts, she’s no Lady Saw. Her only subject matter is sex, and Saw has already wrung all of the shock value out of that topic. And while we love her music, it seems like male selectors are either consciously giving her a fight or killing her with benign neglect. Her songs aren’t reaching the ears of the Dancehall massive. You can’t be a queen if you’re not heard.

Prediction: ALSO RAN. She’s the most naturally talented of the new crop of female artists, but as an artist, she’s running a distant third behind Saw and Tanya Stevens. Don’t see that changing anytime soon.
